Yei is home to Iris Ministries Sudan’s national headquarters and Yei Children’s Village. We have a beautiful compound of forty acres under development, 122 children in our care residentially, over 30 indigenous leaders and staff working with us. There we are with some local government leaders who were paying our family a visit.

Our children grow up in a family dynamic with house mamas in a community setting. Here they learn all they would learn in a local village as well as receiving education while growing up in a revival environment!  We even have our own flock of goats and sheep.  And lots of green growing things too!

Our Communtiy Care Program assists vunerable children in the community with food and primary school scholarships (there are no free schools here).  This year our Dream Primary School will serve over 400 children.  Our Sudan House of Prayer (affectionately called the SHOP) is now finished and being filled with worship and prayer!

Here is a bird’s eye view of our current compound. Many thanks to all who gave so generously to the Bricks of Hope matching grant. Our phase 1 covered by these funds is nearing completion and soon we will be trusting God for step 2. As He provides, we will continue building more housing and other needed structures, including we pray a wall around our property one day soon!!
